Here is exactly which ones, and what that does and does not change. ## The short version EasyApps Ecommerce participates in the **Shopify Affiliate Program**. When you click a Shopify link on this site and go on to open a paid Shopify plan, Shopify pays us a commission. **You pay nothing extra** — the price and the trial offer are identical whether you use our link or type shopify.com into your browser yourself. We disclose this because the U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires it (16 CFR Part 255), because Shopify's affiliate agreement requires it, and because you deserve to know what we get out of a recommendation before you act on it. ## Which links are affiliate links? Only one destination on this site is an affiliate link: - **Shopify** — any link pointing to `shopify.pxf.io`, and every green "Start Your Shopify Store Today" promotional box in our guides. These run through Impact, Shopify's affiliate network. Every affiliate link on this site carries the `rel="sponsored"` attribute, which is the machine-readable signal Google asks publishers to use for paid links. You can confirm this yourself by viewing the page source. ### What is *not* an affiliate link - **Our own apps.** Links to the ten EasyApps apps on the Shopify App Store are our own products. We are not paid a commission on them — we build them. - **Third-party apps and tools we mention in guides.** When we name Klaviyo, Yotpo, Judge.me, Recharge or any other tool, those are plain links. We have no commercial relationship with those companies and earn nothing if you sign up. - **Sources and citations.** Links to research, benchmarks, statistics and documentation are references, not recommendations. ## How this affects what we write It does not change our recommendations, and here is the specific reason you can check that claim: we recommend Shopify on this site because *this entire business is built on Shopify*. We are a Shopify Partner and every product we sell is a Shopify app. We recommended Shopify long before we joined its affiliate program, and we would recommend it if the program disappeared tomorrow. The commission is a rounding error next to that. It is not a reason to steer you toward a platform that is wrong for you — which is why our guides openly compare Shopify against WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Etsy, Squarespace, Wix, Amazon and others, and say plainly when a different platform is the better fit for your situation. We also do not accept payment for guide placement, for a ranking position in any "best apps" list, or for a review. ## A separate thing: our own affiliate program Confusingly, the word "affiliate" applies in both directions here. Alongside *using* Shopify's affiliate program, we *run* one of our own — creators and agencies can earn a commission for referring merchants to EasyApps apps. This page is about the first kind: links where **we** are the affiliate. ## Frequently asked questions ### Does using your link cost me more? No. The price is set by Shopify and is the same either way. Affiliate commissions are paid by Shopify out of its own margin, not added to your bill. ### Do you get my personal information if I use your link? No. We receive aggregate, anonymous reporting from Impact — counts of clicks and conversions. We never see your name, email, payment details or store data. Shopify's trial and introductory pricing are publicly available at shopify.com. Our link is a convenience, not a gate. ### What happens if I use your link and Shopify is not right for me? Cancel. Shopify's trial does not require a card up front, and we would rather you leave than pay for a platform you do not need.
